One of the most exciting parts of my job is speaking with potential new clients. Making that connection and hearing the excitement and relief from a client when they realize that someone is out there who will help them find just what they are looking for brings such joy. I receive numerous emails and calls from intended parents who are frustrated and overwhelmed with the process of finding a donor. Many times, by the time the intended parents contact us, they are somewhat discouraged about finding a donor they feel would "fit in" with their family. Intended parents are happy to speak to us and realize that we are going to take the time to understand them. In addition to understanding their needs, we are going to set out specifically to search out a match for them that meets those needs. Of course, the best part of this process is when an intended parent comes across a donor and says "that is the person for me. I didn't think I would ever find such a perfect match; she reminds me of myself when I was her age."
The intended parents represented with our current search are a wonderful couple and I am excited for that day when they say, "yes, that's the perfect donor for us."
If you think you might be the perfect donor for someone, please keep our website bookmarked - we would love to receive an application from you if you fit our current criteria.

I think my only worry is that I want to be a donor so badly and I feel the clock ticking. I have searched other webpages and am not secure that they will be legimate or safe. Do you know of any other place who will take my eggs for donantion for even a smaller amount of compensation? I do need the money to finish paying for school, however I am willing to give my eggs for very little. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI am not familiar enough with any of the other agencies out there that I would be comfortable recommending any specific one. What I can suggest if you are concerned with legitimacy is that you look around for an egg donor program which is associated with a hospital or well known medical facility. For example, Cornell University administers an egg donor program. With their renowned reputation it is unlikely that you would have to worry about their policies and procedures. Good luck =)
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you could tell me, on average, how many women apply to be a donor for each search.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to answer that question because it depends on a variety of factors, the main two are compensation offered and advertising budget. The greater the compensation amount and the larger the advertising budget, the more applications we receive. As each search we run is personalized there is no real "average."
ReplyDeleteIf you are deciding whether or not to apply for a search,I would encourage you to do so. While we do not keep applications on file, we always use the same application. So, if you are not selected for one search, you can verify your information is still accurate and resubmit the same paperwork the next time.
Hope that helps a bit.
